  • Correct Off-Road Light Bar to Use with Putco Wireless Remote Control Kit # P8770F
  • The Wireless Remote Control Kit # P8770F that you referenced is designed specifically for the Putco Luminix LED Light Bar # P10010. It will not work for different brand off-road light assemblies. If you can tell me what brand light you currently have I can see if we have a different solution, otherwise for this type of setup your best option will be with the above combination. I have attached a couple short video reviews that you can check out as well.

It has two rows of 3-watt LEDs that have a 30,000 hour life span and comes with the mounting hardware and wiring harness necessary for installation. I've added links to video reviews of this bar for you to take a look at as well.

  • Can SnowBear Snow Plows be Used on Public Roads
  • I spoke with my contact at SnowBear and he informed me that SnowBear does not recommend any of its snowplow systems to be driven down public roads as its snowplow systems will encroach lamp illumination patterns as they do not maintain an integrated headlamp system for illumination of day time running lights, low and high beam dusk to dawn illumination including parking lights as well as directional turn signal lights. SnowBear offers an off-road light kit which assists in night time...

  • Solution for LED Light Bar on 2020 Ford F-450 Cab and Chassis
  • I do have a solution, but the MaxxTow Off-Road light bar is not available. Instead, I recommend the Optronics LED Off-Road Light Bar # UCL22CB. This light bar is only slightly longer at 33" with the same mixed beam and double row design. The Optronics light also has a longer 200,000-hour lifespan on the LEDs. Since Optronics is in the light business you can expect a higher quality light overall. Unlike the MaxxTow, this comes with a lifetime warranty on the LEDs as well.

  • Is Westin Light Mounting Kit W23QD and 58-991PK The Same Kit?
  • Yes the two part numbers you mentioned for the Light Mounting Kit for Westin Outlaw Front Bumpers, # W23QD and 58-991PK are the same. The difference is the # W23QD is an etrailer part number where the other is the actual part number from Westin. This kit is designed to allow you to mount off-road lights to a Westin Outlaw bumper, so if that is what you are trying to do this is the correct part for you.

  • LED Light Bar For Bulldog Winch Off-Road Winch Mounting Plate # BDW23001 On A Toyota Tacoma
  • Since the Bulldog Winch Mounting Plate # BDW23001 is low profile, you'll have plenty of room to mount a light bar on your Tacoma. That being said, the bracket is not designed to have a light bar added to it. You can put the light bar right above the winch. If you want a light bar that's around the same length as your winch, this one is 12" long # SHK-BV6WPA. If you want one that's a big larger, this one would look sweet with the curve # SHK-BV6WPA.

  • Can a Diode be Used to Power Lights from 2 Different Power Sources
  • You hit the nail right square on the head. Using diode # RM-790 as you have described will allow you to power the lights from 2 different sources (one at a time) without back feeding. It would be best to mount the diode where it is protected from the elements. We also have 10 amp on/off toggle switch # PK34513 that you could mount somewhere on the truck. One wire would go to the vehicle battery and the other would go to one of the inputs on the diode.

  • LED Flood Light that Can Be Used as a Home Security Light
  • The MaxxTow Off-Road Light Bar # MT80636 runs off of 9 to 32 volt electrical systems (DC power) so it is not a good option for a house which uses AC power at a much higher voltage. A better option is Tow Rax light # TWSPRLB2L. This is an LED light that runs off of 110 to 130 volts AC power. For a light like this it has a power and ground wire so you would hook up a motion sensor, obtained locally, in line with the power wire.

  • Recommended LED Light Bar Mounting Kit for 2013 Nissan Frontier
  • I have a couple options for mounting your LED light bar but Westin doesn't have a fit for the off road mounting bar you were looking at for your 2013 Nissan Frontier. We do have number of Carr Light Mounting Bars like the # CARR210341 which uses the gutterless mounting kit # CARR220051 to mount to your vehicle. See the attached link of all the styles that are offered from Carr. Another option would be to get a license plate mounted LED bar like the Vision X # LICENSEPLPX910. This license...

  • Should Lighter Off-Road Trailer Have Brakes Added
  • In off-road situations it's gets a little more tricky with adding brakes to the trailer and having them actuate properly since the terrain changes a lot and traction is really inconsistent. I'd go with the part # ASR1THDS02 and idler hubs like the # 84545UC1-EZ and you'd be set.

  • Recommended LED Spot Beam Light for 2006 Ford Explorer for Spotting Wildlife at Long Distances
  • For your lighting application that requires a focused beam that can reach a substantial distance down the road in front of you to help spot wildlife I suggest the Putco Luminix Off-Road LED Light Bar # P10006 which features a narrow 15-degree focused beam. Unlike work lights that are intended to disperse their output at closer distances, this 1200-lumen spot beam LED light will push the focal point well out in front of you. This kit includes a wiring harness and power switch as well as...
